Tata Steel Subsidiary ISWP Announces Expansion Plan In Jamshedpur

Indian Steel & Wire Products (ISWP), a subsidiary of Tata Steel, is planning an expansion of its capacity in Jamshedpur. The proposed project entails the expansion of its existing Rebars & Wire Rods capacity at the Wire Rod Mill and the strengthening of HC & MS GI Wires & wire products at the Wire Mill, both geared towards catering to the increasing market demands.

As a subsidiary of Tata Steel, ISWP inherits the legacy of excellence and commitment to sustainable growth. The primary focus of this expansion is to increase the Rebars & Wire Rods capacity from 2,67,000 TPA (Tonnes Per Annum) to 4,75,200 TPA through debottlenecking and process optimization. Simultaneously, ISWP aims to enhance the HC & MS GI Wires capacity from 62,050 TPA to 2,37,600 TPA through state-of-the-art machines within the existing premise, located at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.
