Bradda Head Lithium Says Drilling To Start This Week At Its San Domingo Lithium Pegmatite Project In Arizona

Bradda Head Lithium Limited (AIM:BHL, OTCQB:BHLIF) said a drill rig has been mobilised to its San Domingo lithium pegmatite project in Arizona, US and that drilling will start this week.
The 30-hole drilling programme will help determine whether San Domingo has a similar structure to other well-known zoned pegmatites, such as Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR) Limited’s Kathleen Valley project in Australia.
“Our San Domingo pegmatite district is extensive, covering circa 13km2 and was historically mined for lithium in the 1940s and 1950s within our permitted license area,” said chief executive Charles FitzRoy. “It also contains historical gold, silver, copper, and vanadium mining operations.”
“With the vocal and growing demand within the USA for its own lithium supply, and recognising the history of successful commercial mining of pegmatites at San Domingo, a successful pegmatite exploration programme at San Domingo should quickly catch the attention of North American end-users and battery manufacturers.”
Previously, channel sampling indicated grades as high as 2.49% lithium oxide (Li2O) and grab samples indicated grades of up to 8% Li2O.
Bradda said it soon expects to announce the results of a recent 3D mapping exercise at San Domingo.
It also expects to receive permits shortly for its Basin East Extension claim block, which is adjacent to Basin East where Bradda Head has a JORC-compliant resource containing 305,000 tonnes of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE), enabling it to start a drilling programme at its Basin project.
“With all of our planned exploration drilling activity fully funded we are comfortable to move on the two fronts concurrently: lithium pegmatites at San Domingo and lithium clays at Basin,” said FitzRoy.
