China’s Vanadium Alloys Prices Soften On Lower Costs

Prices of both vanadium nitride (VN) and ferrovanadium (FeV) in China have weakened recently, as the domestic steel mills are reluctant to pay higher prices for the supplies especially when the price of vanadium pentoxide, the raw material for the two products, has dipped, market sources shared on Wednesday.
As of June 23, China’s national VNpricehad retreated from its eight-month high on June 12, downby Yuan 12,000/tonne ($1,700.3/t) or 7.1% in about two weeks to Yuan 160,000/t, or around the same level in early June, and the country’s national priceof the 50% grade FeValso eased Yuan 5,500/t or 4.9%
