AUSTRALIAN Vanadium’s bench-scale testwork on samples from its flagship vanadium project at Gabanintha, Western Australia, has delivered the potential for an iron and titanium-rich calcine by-product that could help it become one of the lowest cost producers of vanadium in the world.
The tests upgraded the calcine iron content from 54% to an average of 66%, a grade that can easily be sold into the global market.
