BEIJING (Asian Metal) 31 May 18 – As prices for ferrovanadium decreased in May in the overseas market, Russian suppliers also reduced their prices slightly for ferrovanadium 50%min to RUB2,430-2,530/kg (USD77.9-81.1/kg V) early this week, down by about RUB30/kg (USD0.96/kg V) from last week. The price for the material would be firm in early June due to tight supply in Russian spot market.
“The price for ferrovanadium 50%min from our supplier is about RUB2,450/kg (USD78.5/kg V) at present, down by about RUB15/kg (USD0.48/kg V) from our last purchase of 12t in early May. We may purchase about 11t of the material for June at the price next week,” said a Russian ferrovanadium 50%min trader, adding that the price from the supplier would be steady in the following week.
