Supported by stalemate raw material prices, few vanadium nitride suppliers would like to loosen their prices to promote sales and the market mentality kept solid this week. At present, the mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride stand at RMB152,000-155,000/t (USD28.6-29.1/kg V) Delivered D/A 180 days, unchanged from this Tuesday. Considering that steel mills star to build more inventory, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride would stay firm in the coming week.
“Prices of vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min prices we inquired stayed firm at around RMB100,000/t (USD6.7/lb V2O5) EXW D/A 180 days so far this week and our regular clients star to build more inventory now, so we refuse to loosen our vanadium nitride price any more,” said a producer in North China. They insisted on RMB153,000/t (USD28.7/kg V) Delivered D/A 180 days so far this week and just sold 20t at RMB150,000/t (USD28.2/kg V) Delivered D/P this Thursday. Though rebar market still stays soft, in view of the active vanadium nitride inquiries, they predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride would keep firm in the coming week.
