BEIJING (Asian Metal) 27 Dec 22 – As raw material prices moved up slightly during the past week, Chinese vanadium nitride producers had strong intention to increase their prices accordingly. However, few buyers followed up and the market mentality stayed in a stalemate due to the weak demand from terminal users. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride stand at RMB186,000-189,000/t (USD34.6-35.2/kg V) delivered D/A 180 days, unchanged from early last week. Considering that the market still needs time to consume the current inventory, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride would stay in a stalemate in the coming week.
