(MT Newswires) — Invinity Energy Systems (IES.L) received US regulator California Energy Commission’s funding approval for a 10 megawatt-hour hybrid, non-lithium battery project for the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians in collaboration with Indian Energy.
The project includes a large vanadium flow battery system, which will be delivered to the site in Southern California in 2023 after the execution of a sales contract between the two companies, according to a Thursday release.
Additionally, the energy storage manufacturing company completed two sales deals reflecting a total of 2.1 MWh of products to Equans Belux and Kinetic Solutions.
Shares in Invinity surged nearly 10% on Thursday morning.
