On 11 October, the flow battery production line and energy storage integration project with a total investment of about 2.05 billion yuan was signed and settled in the development zone. Qi Boxian, deputy general manager of Shandong Tianen Energy Co., Ltd., relevant person in charge of Liquid Flow Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Mengdong Liquid Flow Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., Economic Development Bureau of Development Zone, Investment Promotion Bureau, Financial State-owned Assets Bureau, and directly affiliated state-owned enterprises and other relevant department heads to participate.
This contracted project is an important measure to implement the municipal party committee and municipal government to build the entire industrial chain of new energy and equipment manufacturing. It is of great significance for the development zone to expand and strengthen the new energy and new material equipment manufacturing industry, after the project is completed, it will further strengthen the chain, optimize the layout of the industrial chain, and inject stronger kinetic energy into the development zone to build an energy storage industry base and seize the commanding heights of industrial development.
The project is planned to be constructed in three phases. In the first phase, two 250MW flow battery production lines and integrated energy storage production lines will be constructed using the modernized standardized workshops in the development zone, with a total investment of about 350 million yuan. The interior decoration of the workshop is planned to be carried out in October, and equipment installation and commissioning is expected to begin in January 2023. After the first phase is put into production, the annual sales income will be 5.2 billion yuan. The second phase of the project plans to invest 700 million yuan to build six 250MW flow battery automatic intelligent production lines. It is expected to be constructed in July 2023 and completed by the end of 2024. The third phase of the project will invest 1 billion yuan to build 10 250MW flow battery automatic intelligent production lines. It is planned to be constructed in July 2025 and completed by the end of 2026.
