Golden Deeps (GED) has hit further intersections of high-grade copper-vanadium-lead mineralisation at the Nosib Block Prospect in Namibia.
A diamond drill hole tested the shallow copper-vanadium-lead-silver oxide zone from surface at the Nosib Prospect.
Golden Deeps reported it returned exceptional copper, vanadium, and lead spot readings on drill core, including up to 16 per cent copper, 3.7 per cent vanadium, and 15.9 per cent lead.
Further diamond drilling is in progress, testing for extensions of this shallow, very high-grade, copper vanadium-lead zone in an area of sub-cropping copper mineralisation to the north of the currently drilled area.
The mineralised zone has so far been tested over a 100 metres strike length and remains open to the northeast and southwest at surface.
Golden Deeps said once drilling and metallurgical test work is complete, the company will finalise its maiden resource estimate for the high-grade copper-vanadium-lead-silver zone at Nosib.
Additionally, results were received from a further four diamond drillholes that tested the deeper copper-silver sulphide zone at Nosib, producing thick intersections of copper-silver mineralisation. These included 0.4 metres at 6.81 per cent copper and 41.6 grams of silver per tonne from 92.7 metres.
“The very successful drilling program at Nosib continues to intersect very high-grade copper-vanadium-lead mineralisation from the oxide zone, that remains open to the northeast where drilling is continuing,” said Golden Deeps CEO Jon Dugdale.
“The company will continue its dual focus on defining shallow copper-vanadium-lead oxide deposit that may provide an early pathway to production of high-value products for the renewable energy battery industries, as well as targeting larger scale, copper-silver sulphide deposits at depth for the development of a major long term, production centre in the Otavi Copper Belt.”
Following receipt of all analytical results from this program, further drilling is planned to extend the primary copper-silver sulphide zone and potentially define a significant new strata-bound copper-silver discovery.
Golden Deeps was down 9.09 per cent, trading at 1 cent at 1:25 pm AEDT.
