Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE), the shipbuilding holding company of Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, Thursday announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with local vanadium ion battery (VIB) manufacturer Standard Energy to develop new VIB-based energy storage systems free from a risk of fire or blast for electric ships.
