Golden Deeps Appoints New Chief Executive Officer To Advance Project Portfolio

Diversified explorer Golden Deeps (ASX: GED) has appointed experienced geologist and mining stalwart Jon Dugdale to the role of chief executive officer, effective 1 June.
Mr Dugdale brings to the company over 30 years of experience in the resources sector including a track record of mineral discoveries, corporate promotions and capital raising.
He spent the first 20 years of his career with Western Mining Corporation where he was involved in major discovery programs at the St Ives and Agnew gold projects in Western Australia.
He then worked for MPI Mines on the exploration and development of several deposits including the Silver Swan and Golden Gift discoveries in Western Victoria.
A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, Mr Dugdale has also acted as a fund manager with Lion Selection Group and been appointed to the role of managing director for several ASX-listed companies.
In these roles, he was a key player in the promotion and raising of over $70 million of capital to advance exploration and complete pre-feasibility studies into nickel and gold projects in the Philippines.
Advancing the portfolio
Golden Deeps director Michael Rodriguez said Mr Dugdale was already focused on advancing the company’s project portfolio including the recently-drilled Khusib Springs and Nosib copper-silver-vanadium targets and the Abenab vanadium project in Namibia, and drilling of high-grade gold lodes at Tuckers Hill in New South Wales.
“Jon brings to the company a demonstrated track record of discovery and promotional skills which will be invaluable as we look to drive shareholder value for Golden Deeps,” he said.
“With drilling results imminent from our high-grade copper-silver targets in Namibia and studies and drilling to come for our other projects, this is a great time for Jon to come on board and [generate] shareholder interest through discovery and enthusiastic presentation.”
Mr Dugdale’s appointment follows strong drilling progress by Golden Deeps at Khusib Springs and Nosib.
In April, the company intersected copper carbonate in two holes at the historic Khusib Springs and last week, encountered thick copper intervals at Nosib.
