Chinese vanadium nitride (VN) smelters have continued to lift their offer prices this week to offset their high raw materials costs, though the number of spot transactions concluded with domestic steel mills was low, market sources said on Thursday.
As of July 22, the country’s national price for VN had risen further by a slight Yuan 2,000/tonne ($285.8/t) or 1.2% on week, to Yuan 167,000/t and including 13% VAT, according to Mysteel’s assessment. This was up by 2.5% on month to reach the same level as of June 18. Starting
