BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Jul 20 – Pangang Group Vanadium Titanium & Resources Co., Ltd. produced about 3,100t of vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min in June, up by 100t from May.
“Due to the maintenance, we didn’t produce in normal during the past four months. We produced about 3,100t in June and would increase to normal level for 3,400tpm soon,” a producer from this company said. They produced about 39,100t in 2019 and about 18,600t in the first half of this year. They expect to produce the same volume like last year and expect to produce 3,400tpm in the second half of 2020.
Located in Panzhihua, Sichuan, they are the largest producer for vanadium in the world. They would use their output of vanadium pentoxide flake as raw material to produce and sell vanadium nitride and ferrovanadium.
Currently, mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min stand at RMB105,000-106,000/t (USD6.9-7.0/lb V2O5) EXW D/P, down by RMB500/t (USD0.03/lb V2O5) from this Tuesday.
