Mainstream prices for European vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min stand at USD6.4-6.7/lb V2O5 in warehouse Rotterdam, down by USD0.1/lb V2O5 from last week. In order to promote sales, suppliers would like to drop their quotation to accept orders. Insiders believe that mainstream prices of European vanadium pentoxide flake would edge down in the coming week.
A supplier from Middle Europe quotes their vanadium pentoxide 98%min at USD6.5/lb V2O5 in warehouse Rotterdam and they won’t accept any discount for orders lesss than 40t at the moment, down by USD0.5/lb V2O5 from last week. “We sold 60t at USD7/lb V2O5 and closed small volume deals even at USD7.5/lb V2O5 two weeks ago. However, inquiries are rare to see at the moment and we have to drop our quotation to promote sales,” said the source. Their latest deal was made last Friday, when they sold 120t at USD6.5/lb V2O5. He added, “Our dealing price for ferrovanadium 80%min drops to USD28/kg V in warehouse Rotterdam now, down by USD3/kg V from two weeks ago.” Considering new inquiries are rare to see, he believes that prices of European vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min would drop to USD6.0/lb V2O5 in the coming week.
With a regular trading volume of 750t, they sold 750t in January and 650t in February, holding 300t of stocks now, down by 150t from one month ago.
A supplier from West Europe noted the current price for European vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min he received stands at USD6.5/lb V2O5 in warehouse Rotterdam and they can buy at USD6.4/lb V2O5 for firm bids, down by USD0.3/lb V2O5 from last week. “Our last deal was made late last week, when we sold 20t at USD6.4/lb V2O5,” said the source. He added, “It’s hard to sell at high price level now as there are too many suppliers who hold high inventory in spot market.” He believes that prices of European vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min would drop by USD0.4/lb V2O5 in the coming week.
With a regular trading volume 60tpm, they sold 60t in January and 40t in February, holding 40t of stocks now, up by 20t from one month ago.
