On the morning of 5 September, Liu He, member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, Vice Premier and chief representative of Sino-U.S. comprehensive economic dialogue, talked with U.S. trade representative and Treasury Secretary over phone, during which the two parties agreed to hold the 13th round of senior-level trade talk in Washington in early October. China and the United States will keep close communication before the talk and carry out serious negotiation in mid-September to make full preparations for substantial progress of the senior-level trade talk. The two nations will work hard together and take practical actions to create excellent conditions for the negotiation.
