The High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday ordered Eskom to refrain from disconnecting bulk power supply to the defaulting Musina Local Municipality. This decision will hold until the court finally determines Sakelige’s application to have Eskom decision to cut power supply reviewed and set aside.
This decision is important because it is not just about that municipality, it is about all the other municipalities that owe Eskom collectively on the region of R17 billion.
