BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Apr 18 – Depressed by biddings from steel mills, sale price from Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy prices fell back obviously. Currently, mainstream prices for vanadium-nitrogen alloy prices stand at RMB290,000-293,000/t (USD59.92-60.54/kg V) Inc-VAT delivered D/A six months, down by RMB10,000/t (USD2.07/kg V) from last week. But as prices for raw material vanadium pentoxide flake keep stable, market participants generally hold stable attitudes and expect that prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy would stay stable in the coming week.
A producer in South China claimed that they offer RMB292,000/t (USD60.34/kg V) delivered D/A six months for vanadium-nitrogen alloy now, down by RMB10,000/t (USD2.07/kg V) from last week. He said, “Now steel mills force the prices down seriously and the competition among suppliers is quite fierce. We bear much sale pressure with nobody purchasing at high offers for vanadium-nitrogen alloy. We will accept orders in large volume if someone is willing to purchase at RMB292,000/t (USD60.34/kg V) EXW D/A six months now,” the source said. He disclosed that they last sold 10t of vanadium-nitrogen alloy at RMB293,000/t (USD61.22/kg V) EXW D/A six months early last week. He expected that prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy would keep stable in the coming week.
